Volkswagen is planning to make a new investment of €840 million in Russia

Finmarket – German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen is planning to make a new investment of €840 million in Russia in between the years 2013-2015. The relevant statement has been made by one of the executives of VW: Michael Macht. Macht has also reminded in his statement that VW has invested around €1 billion in car production in Russia up to today.

According to the aforementioned statement, an important part of the new investment will be used in the expansion of the Kaluga plant and financing the production projects in Nizhniy Novgorod. €250 million out of the total amount will be spent on the engine factory, which will be established in Kaluga as well. The factory, which will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 engines, will commence operations in 2015, according to plans.
