Nissan Russia factory has discontinued Infiniti production

RBK – St. Petersburg Nissan factory has discontinued the production of Infiniti model automobiles. From now on, the model will be replaced by Pathfinder. The expiration of the agreement signed between the company and the Russian Ministry of Economy is the reason behind the discontinuation of the model.

QX80, Infiniti M and Infiniti FX models were being assembled at the factory since 2012. The term of the agreement, which enabled Nissan to import components in favourable conditions, had expired in May. The company management has decided that the shift to CKD method in Infiniti production would be unprofitable and therefore stopped manufacturing the model.

Currently, X-Trail, Murano and Teana models are being manufactured at the factory.
