Finmarket – Russian president Vladimir Putin has promised to consider customs-free exports of FIAT automobiles manufactured in Serbia to Russia, during his meeting with the Serbian prime minister Aleksandar Vucic.
Putin has said the following: “We have good relations with Italy and FIAT. We also have a close and warm relationship with Serbia, aimed at cooperation. For that reason, we might come to an agreement on launching these automobiles in the Russian market, within a certain quota.”
The ex-prime minister of Serbia: Ivica Dadic had also announced that Russia would permit the entry of part of FIAT’s manufactured in Serbia to the country customs-free, following his meeting with Putin in April 2013. The aforementioned figure is predicted as 10,000 automobiles.
The practice is based on the mutual free-trade agreement between the two countries. Serbia wants the automobiles to be included in the agreement as well.
