Russian LCV market has shrunk by 23% in September

Avtostat – 11,900 new light commercial vehicles have been sold in Russia in September (-23%). Thereby, the number of LCV’s sold within the first nine months of the year has risen to 101,100 (-18%). 68% of the sales belong to Russian brands.

GAZ has dominated the market once again. The brand has sold 5700 vehicles during the previous month (-28%). This figure is equivalent to 48% of the Russian LCV market. UAZ occupies the second place with 1500 vehicles (-14%). Mercedes-Benz has become the leader amongst the foreign brands in September, increasing its sales 2.1 times year-on-year, with a sales figure of a little bit over 1000 vehicles. The top-three brands are followed by Ford, with 720 vehicles (-48%). Lada is ranked fifth with 670 Largus and VIS sales (-31%).
