Over 21 million rubber tyres have been sold in Russia during the first half of the year

Automarketolog.ru – According to Discovery Research Group survey, 17.1 million car, 1.4 million light truck, 1.8 million truck, 644,000 agricultural vehicle and 46,500 industrial tyres have been manufactured in Russia within the first half of the year. 7.8 million car, 1.2 million light truck, 1.6 million truck, 90,000 agricultural vehicle and 174,000 industrial tyres have been exported during the aforementioned period, on the other hand.

As put forward by the survey, the six leading brands in rubber tyre market are as follows: Continental (1.25 million), Bridgestone (1.2 million), Yokohama (1 million), Hankook (890,000), Kumho (830,000) and Michelin (770,000).

Michelin occupies the first place in imported tyres market with 1.7 million units. The brand is followed by Aeolus (130,000), Hangzhou (111,000), Triangle (110,000), Shandong (90,000) and Goodyear (79,000).

The volume of the Russian rubber tyre market has been calculated as 21 million units or 105 billion rubles, for the first six months. The brands and their sales figures are as follows: Michelin – 1.2 million units, Nokian – 4 million units, Sumitomo (including Dunlop) – 347,000.

The volume of the country’s truck tyre market has been calculated as 3 million units or 42 billion rubles, for the same period. Bridgestone has sold 68,900, Continental 26,300 and Michelin 173,100 tyres, in this segment.

In the domestic market, factories belonging to Nizhnekamskshina have sold 947,000, Omskshina 279,000 and Altai Rubber Tyres Combine 121,300 tyres, during the January-June period.
