Russian LCV market is ranked fourth in Europe

RusAutoNews.Com – Russian light commercial vehicle market maintains its position as the fourth largest in Europe, despite shrinking for two consecutive years. Europe-wide the sales in the segment tend to grow in double-digit rates.

According to European automobile Manufacturers Association data, 1,126,310 light commercial vehicles have been sold across the continent, within the first nine months of 2014 (+11.7%). The September sales figure is 142,255, on the other hand (+16.2%).

While the most number of light commercial vehicles were sold in France within the January-September period (269,813 vehicles, +1.8%), Great Britain took the second place (242,071, +18.1%). The third spot is occupied by Germany: 164,193, +8.4%. The top-three countries are followed by Russia. 101,100 light commercial vehicles have been sold in the country within the nine months (-18.5%). Italy’s LCV sales figure is 85,026, on the other hand (+18.9%).
