Volvo Group has opened a cabin factory in Kaluga

Autostat – Volvo Group has opened its Kaluga factory, which will carry out cabin welding and paint operations for Volvo and Renault trucks, yesterday.

The general director of the company Piter Andersson has drawn attention to the fact that Volvo Group are the pioneers in the field of cabin production in Russia, as a foreign truck manufacturer.

The factory, which will employ 350 people, has been established right next to Kaluga Volvo truck and excavator factories. The investment amount has been declared as €90 million, for the facility with an annual production capacity of 15,000 cabins. 10,000 of these cabins will equip Volvo trucks and the remaining 5000 Renault trucks.
