Korean automobile exports to Russia have declined by 71.5% in January

TASS – According to figures published by the Korean Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAA), the exports of Korean brands to Russia have shrunk by 71.5% in January 2015. 3100 automobiles have been exported.

KIA Motors has also announced a cut to vehicle supplies made to Russia from its Slovakia factory, due to “disadvantageous exchange rates”. In this period, the company intends to concentrate on the sales of Rio model manufactured in Russia. Hyundai, who manufactures Solaris at its St. Petersburg plant, is following a similar path.
