Sollers and Toyota have ended the Land Cruiser Prado production project

Interfax – Russian car manufacturer Sollers, Japanese Mitsui, Toyota and Sollers-Bussan company have discontinued the Land Cruiser Prado production project in Vladivostok. Sollers have not disclosed the reasons behind the cancellation of the agreement amongst the parties. A company representative has told Interfax that Sollers-Bussan ended the production in mid-July and the agreement was cancelled mutually.

Toyota representative, on the other hand, states that it’s not commercially viable to make production in Vladivostok, under the current circumstances. The representative has added that the enlargement project for the St. Petersburg plant is still on.
