Volkswagen has produced one million cars in Kaluga

RusAutoNews.Com – Volkswagen Group Rus set a new record: the 1 000 000th car was produced at the Kaluga plant. Anniversary model is Volkswagen Polo Allstar equipped with the new locally produced 1.6 MPI engine.

The Volkswagen Polo in special version Allstar and in an exclusive color Copper Orange has become the 1 000 000th car produced at the Kaluga plant. The anniversary model is equipped with 1.6 MPI engine (81 KW /110 hp) and demonstrates all the new features available for the customers, for example the lowest engine noise levels in its class due to a new insulation package and significantly improved winter package.

Starting from November 2007, Volkswagen Group Rus has been manufacturing automobiles in Kaluga, 170 km southwest of Moscow. In October 2009, the plant celebrated the official launch of its full cycle production. At the moment, Volkswagen Tiguan, Volkswagen Polo and ŠKODA Rapid are being produced at the plant in Kaluga.
