The sales of KAMAZ trucks have risen by 41% within 7 months

Autostat – KAMAZ has sold 13,000 trucks within the first seven months of 2016, which is equivalent to a 41% year-on-year increase. The general director of the company Sergei Kogogin has made the relevant statement and added that the share of KAMAZ has risen to 61% from 54% in January-July 2015.

“Observing the dynamics of the truck market in the country, one can cautiously come to the conclusion that the market has started to recover slowly from March onwards. Thus, according to the results of the first seven months of 2016, the shipping and imports of the trucks over 14 tonnes has risen by 24% year-on-year, to 21,300 units” – said the head of KAMAZ.

According to Kogogin, in the long-haul tractor market, where KAMAZ almost didn’t exist previously, the Russian automotive giant is now represented with its -5490 (4×2) and -6460 (6×4) truck-tractors, with continuous increase in share, from 9% to 33%. The long-haul tractor segment has grown only to 12% by the end of the first half of 2016, according to registration figures.
