Renault has started supplying Russian assembly automobiles to Vietnam

Autonews.ru – Renault has started the exports of Russian assembly cars to Vietnam, within the frame of the free-trade agreement signed between Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries and Vietnam. As stated by the press office of the brand, one of the main points of the agreement is the gradual reduction of import duties on automobiles from Russia and the other countries of EEU from 74% to 0% by the year 2025. A party of Renault Duster crossovers, registered under the new rates of customs duties within the frame of the agreement, has been delivered to dealers in Hanoi in November.

“We welcome the start of the agreement of free-trade between the EEU countries and Vietnam, which creates favourable conditions for the supply of Russian cars to the Vietnamese market. Renault Russia is  the first company amongst car manufacturers to realise the export project of vehicles from Russia to Vietnam, as well as operating under the conditions of the free-trade agreement between the countries. We are proud to note that the export project of Renault Russia contributes to further development of our domestic industry and the introduction of modern technologies, which will ultimately lead to the growth of our economy. For our part, we fully support any initiatives taken by the Russian government to conclude similar agreements with other countries” – said the General Director of Renault Russia Andrei Pankov.
