Russian LCV market has grown by 30% in January

Autostat – According to Autostat data, the volume of Russian new light commercial vehicles market (LCV) has amounted to 6120 vehicles in January 2017, following a 33.4% year-on-year growth.

The traditional leader of LCV market: GAZ has kept its position, with 45% share of total sales. GAZ has sold approximately 2800 vehicles, which indicates a 59.8% year-on-year rise. Another home brand UAZ occupies the second place, with a sales figure of around 1400 units (+14.6%). Mercedes-Benz came third (555, +71.3%). Lada (431, +69.7%) and Ford (335, +55.8%) are the remaining brands in the top-five.

It should be noted that Mercedes-Benz has achieved the highest rate of growth in the market in January (more than 70%). Two brands in the top-ten have experienced shrinkage: FIAT and Volkswagen (-52.6% and -16.8% respectively), on the other hand.
