European exports of AVTOVAZ have doubled during the first quarter

RNS – European exports of AVTOVAZ have doubled during the first quarter. Lada exports to Europe have risen by 102% year-on year by the end of the first quarter of 2017 to 1664 units, as reported by AVTOVAZ. The number of car registrations has also increased during the first quarter, by 79% to 1344 vehicles.

While Lada 4×4 has the largest demand in Europe, Lada Vesta has been put on the market recently. Vesta has been on German and Hungarian markets since February and on Austrian and Bulgarian markets since March.

AVTOVAZ sales in Kazakhstan have fallen by 31% by the end of the first quarter, in parallel with the 28% shrinkage in the automobile market. The share of the company went down by 0.9 percentage points in the country to 16.6%, on the other hand. Lada sales shrank by 86% in Azerbaijan. The sales of the Russian manufacturer have also fallen in Ukraine, by 66% to 16,460 units, in contrast with the 35% market growth. The market share of Lada has gone up by 11% in Belarus, following a sales growth of 4%.

AVTOVAZ plans to increase its exports by 50% in 2017, as previously stated by the company chairman Nicolas Maure.
