A new production record in Russia: 150,000 Volkswagen Tiguan

RusAutoNews.Com – Volkswagen Kaluga plant has manufactured the 150,000th Tiguan crossover since the start of the production of the model in Russia in 2008. As one may remember, the full-cycle production of the new VW Tiguan has been launched in the Kaluga factory in November, as announced by VW Group Rus press office.

The new Tiguan has become the first VW crossover manufactured in Kaluga.

The general director of VW Group Marcus Ozegovich has made the following statement: “VW Group will celebrate the tenth year of production in Russia this year. Over the years, the company has achieved high results and continues to improve technology, develop personnel and expand cooperation with the local suppliers, aiming for high-quality production. Russian production Volkswagen vehicles -Polo, Jetta, Tiguan- comply with the international quality standards of the group and have a high demand in the market.”
