KAMAZ truck sales up by 21% by the end of the first five months

RusAutoNews.Com – According to KAMAZ marketing department, the sales of the company in the Russian market have increased by 21% y/y by the end of the first five months of 2017, reaching 10,200 units (total sales of all gross weight classes of trucks).

Russian 14-40 tonnes truck market (import and shipment) has grown by 61% y/y within the aforementioned period, taking into account the operational data for May, amounting to 21,500 units. KAMAZ had 47% market share of the segment in Russia by the end of the first five months, taking into account the operational data for May (import and shipment), down from last year’s 62%.

Russian 14-40 tonnes truck market (registered) has grown by 36% y/y within the first four months of 2017, reaching 15,000 units. The share of KAMAZ in the same segment was 51% by the end of the aforementioned period, which indicates a fall in comparison with last year’s share of 61%. KAMAZ keeps the market leadership in the segment, having a much higher share than the post-crisis period.

KAMAZ has manufactured 2881 automobile kits in May (+21.6% y/y) and 13,313 since the turn of the year (300 over the business plan, +26% y/y).
