Car production in Russia has increased by 21% within the January-May period

RusAutoNews.Com – Car production has risen by 20.7% year-on-year in Russia within the January-May period to 526 thousand units, according to Rosstat. The output has grown by 15,6% in May to 103 thousand units in annual terms.

Bus production has also increased within the first five months of the year, by 31.2% y/y to 9600 units. May bus production figure has reached 1700 units (+43,8% y/y).

Truck production (including chassis, excluding dump trucks) has grown by 18.3% by the end of the first five months of the year to 54,800 units. 11,800 trucks have rolled off Russian conveyors in May, up by 38.1% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Industrial production has risen by 5.6% year-on-year in Russia in May, as stated by Rosstat. Industrial production has grown in comparison with the previous month as well, by 1.2%. The production has increased by 1.7% during the January-May 2017 period, compared to the same period of 2016. With the exception of seasonal and calendar factors, industrial production went up by 1.6% in May, in comparison with April.
