The Russian luxury car sales fell by a quarter in May 2017

RusAutoNews.Com – According to Autostat, the luxury segment amounted to 116 vehicles in May 2017, indicating a 14,7% year-on-year decrease (down from 136 units).

Mercedes-Benz has remained the leader of the market, which is represented by one model only: Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class. 46 Maybach S-Class have been sold in May.

Maserati comes second in the rankings, with a sales figure of 34 vehicles.

Bentley completes the top-three in the luxury segment with 15 units.

8 new Rolls-Royce, 5 Ferrari, 5 Lamborghini and 3 Aston Martin vehicles have hit the Russian roads in May, on the other hand.

As noted by Autostat, around 2/3 of the luxury automobiles have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region in May 2017 (76 units). The capital is followed by Krasnodar Krai – 5 units, Bashkortostan – 4 units and St. Petersburg – 3 vehicles.

The volume of the luxury automobiles market has amounted to 614 vehicles according to the figures of the first five months of 2017, indicating a 7% rise.
