KIA sales up by 40% in September 2017 in Russia

RusAutoNews.Com – KIA sales up by 40,3% year-on-year in September 2017 as reported by the company’s press office. Russian KIA dealers have sold 18.797 vehicles in September. 135 223  KIA automobiles have been sold in Russia within the first nine months of the year (+26.7% y/y).

According to preliminary data, KIA has kept its leadership amongst the foreign car brands represented in Russia, with 12.6% market share in September 2017. The market share of KIA for the nine months of 2017 amounted 12% year-on-year.

Rio has become the most popular model in the Russian market, with a sales figure of 10.446 sedans in September (+30,3% y/y). The crossover Sportage occupies the second spot, which was preferred by 1932 clients, following a 3,1% year-on-year increase. Optima has the third place for the first time in the ratings with 1572 units (+161,1% y/y).

KIA vehicles are currently sold in more than 180 dealer centres, throughout 94 Russian cities.
