Only 50 electric cars have been sold in Russia during the January-August period

Autostat – According to Autostat data, 50 electric cars have been sold in Russia, within the first eight months of 2017, indicating a 35% year-on-year increase (up from 37 units).

Tesla has remained the leader of the market, which is represented by two models: Tesla X (24 units) and Tesla S (9 units). Tesla has approximately 2/3 market share in total. The leader is followed by Renault-Nissan: Nissan Leaf (13 units) and Renault Twizy (3 units). The list is completed by Mitsubishi i-MiEV (1 unit).

As noted by Autostat, 29 electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region within the first eight months. The capital is followed by Primorsky Krai – 7 units, Krasnodar – 3 units, Khabarovsk – 2 units, Tatarstan – 2 units,  St. Petersburg, Tver, Udmurtia, Irkutsk, Voronezh, Ryazan and Rostov – 1 electric car each.
