The sales of new electric cars amounted to 66 units

Autostat – According to Autostat, 66 electric cars have been sold in Russia, within the first nine months of 2017, indicating a 37,5% year-on-year increase (up from 48 units in 2016). In September the sales of new electric vehicles amounted to 16 vehicles.

Tesla has remained the leader of the electric cars market, which is represented by two models: Tesla X (34 units) and Tesla S (12 units). Tesla has approximately 2/3 market share in total. The leader is followed by Renault-Nissan: Nissan Leaf (16 units) and Renault Twizy (3 units). The list is completed by Mitsubishi i-MiEV (1 unit).

As noted by Autostat, 40 electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region within the first nine months. The capital is followed by Primorsky Krai: – 9 units, Krasnodar – 3 units, Khabarovsk, Tatarstan, St. Petersburg, Rostov – 2 units each,  Tver, Udmurtia, Irkutsk, Voronezh, Ryazan and – 1 electric car each.
