Truck imports to Russia up by 43% during January-September period

RusAutoNews.Com – As published by the Vedomosti newspaper, truck imports to Russia during January-September period of 2017 increased by 42,5% to 19,8 thousand units, according to the Russian Federal Customs House data. The monetary value of the trucks imported to Russia within the aforementioned period amounted to $1,4 billion.

16,6 thousand of these trucks were imported from non-CIS countries  at the worth of $743 million and the truck imports to Russia from CIS countries amounted to 3,2 thousand units and the monetary value to $657 million.

Truck exports has increased by 2,3% to 9,1 thousand vehicles, generating $188 million. 2,5 thousand trucks have been exported to non-CIS countries (-32,4% y/y) for $76 million and 6,7 thousand to CIS countries  (+31,4% y/y) for $112 million.
