Avtotor has started the full-cycle production of Hyundai trucks

RusAutoNews.Com – Avtotor plant has launched the full-cycle production of Hyundai trucks (HD78) in Kaliningrad, as reported by the company press office.

“The full-cycle (welding – painting -assembly) production of Hyundai HD78 trucks has been launched with a ceremony at Avtotor plant on 15 November. A new welding shop has been created at the factory for the realisation of the project, alongside the modernisation of paint and assembly shops” – as stated by the press-office.

A number of conveyors have been modernised and a new assembly shop has been built within the framework of the organisation of Hyundai trucks production at the factory.

“The additional capacity created at Avtotor will allow the company to manufacture an annual number of up to 6000 vehicles at the first stage of the implementation of the project and further expansions to production volumes in future. A joint investment of $50 million has been made in the project” – added the company press-office.
