New electric cars sales have increased by 29% in 2017 in Russia

Autostat – According to Autostat data, 95 new electric cars have been sold in Russia in 2017, indicating a 28,4% year-on-year increase (up from 74 units).

Tesla has remained the leader of the market, which is represented by two models: Tesla X (48 units) and Tesla S (14 units). Tesla has 65% market share in total. The leader is followed by Renault-Nissan: Nissan Leaf (29 units) and Renault Twizy (3 units). The list is completed by Mitsubishi i-MiEV (1 unit).

As noted by Autostat, 51 new electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region in 2017. The capital is followed by Primorsky Krai – 17 units, St. Petersburg – 7 units;  Krasnodar – 4 units; Khabarovsk – 4 units; Tatarstan – 3 units;  Irkutsk – 2; Rostov – 2; Tver, Udmurtia, Khakassia, Voronezh and Ryazan – 1 electric car each.
