AVTOVAZ will start the sales of Granta and Largus hybrid in 2019

RNS – AVTOVAZ will increase the model range of Lada Granta and Largus hybrid vehicles, operating on petrol and compressed natural gas (methane, CNG). The company plans to start the sales of Largus CNG in 2018-19 and Granta CNG in 2019, according to the presentation made by the car manufacturer.

The production of Largus CNG will be launched in 2018 and the serial sales during the first quarter of 2019. 3700 Largus hybrids may be assembled in 2019, including 2400 5-seater versions. The number will increase to 4000 units in 2020 (3000 units), 4600 in 2021 and 2022 (3000). The figure will drop to 2100 units in 2023 (1500 passenger versions).

Lada Largus hybrid CNG has 1055 km power reserve, including 320 km on gas. The vehicle reaches 100 km/h speed in 14.6 seconds, however, the maximum velocity is 7 km/h below the petrol version, reaching 155 km/h. The volume of the luggage compartment has fallen by 110 litres to 450 litres, due to the gas equipment in the passenger version and by 100 litres to 2400 litres on the cargo version.
