Car production in Russia has increased by 34% in January 2018

RusAutoNews.Com  – Car production in Russia has increased by 34% year-on-year in January 2018. According to ASM Holding data, 119.278 units transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia in January, which is equivalent to a 34,0% year-on-year rise.

Passenger cars production has increased by 34,4% y/y during the aforementioned period, with 112.499 units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 21,9% to  81,4 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 39,4% to 4,3 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 21,7% in January 2018, amounting to 5211 units. The output  of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 66,0% to 1,5 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 53,3% during the aforementioned period, with 1,6 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up 86,7% to  0,6 thousand units.

As reported previously, car production in Russia has increased by 19% in 2017 and amounted to 1.551.293  units.
