Car production in Russia up by 28% within the first two months of 2018

RusAutoNews.Com  – Car production in Russia has increased by 28,1% year-on-year within the first two months of 2018. According to ASM Holding data, 258.528 units transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-February 2018 period.

Passenger cars production has increased by 29,9% y/y during the aforementioned period, with 237,2 thousand units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 28,8% to 179,8 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 13,0% to 13,2 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 11,0% within January-February period 2018, amounting to 17,1 thousand units. The output  of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 71,8% to 3,5 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 6,8% during the aforementioned period, with 4,2 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up 29,2% to  1,2 thousand units.

As reported previously, car production in Russia has increased by 19% in 2017 and amounted to 1.551.293  units.
