Subaru has increased the car prices in Russia for the first time since 2016

RNS – Russian branch of Subaru Motor has taken the decision to increase the prices of new automobiles in the Russian market for the first time since 2016, as stated by the manufacturer.

The prices have risen at an average rate of 2% as of 10 April 2018, as told by the official representative of Subaru to RNS.

“We had to announce price rises for the first time since 2016, due to the inevitable effects of the recent increases in excise taxes and the utilisation fees on imported vehicles” – as stated by the company.

Depending on the components, the prices of Subaru XV have increased by 30-40,000 rubles. The price of the basic model has remained unchanged at 1.599 million rubles, on the other hand.

The prices of all Forester versions have risen by 40,000 rubles (from 1.699 million rubles) and Outback prices by 50,000 rubles (from 2.449 million rubles), excluding the 3.6 lt engine version, which remained at 3.299 million rubles.

2018 model 6-speed manual gearbox WRX is sold for 2.479 million rubles and the version with Lineartronic variator for 2.66 million rubles.

As announced previously, the utilisation fees have risen at an average rate of 15%, as of the beginning of April 2018.
