Mazda sales in Russia up by 43% in May 2018

RusAutoNews.Com – Russian Mazda dealers have sold 2536 vehicles in May 2018, which is equivalent to a 43% year-on-year rise, as reported at the AEB press release. The company has sold 11,638 vehicles during the first five months of 2018, which indicates a 33% year-on-year rise.

The crossover CX-5 is the best-selling model of the brand with 1828 sold units in May 2018 (+34% y/y).

As reported earlier MazdaSollers Manufacturing Rus has launched the serial production of the large 7-seater crossover CX-9 this year. It is the third Mazda model assembled in Vladivostok by the joint venture Mazda Sollers, in addition to CX-5 crossover and Mazda-6 sedan.

The joint venture plans to start petrol engine production for exports in mid-September 2018 in Vladivostok, as stated newly by the CEO of Sollers. Sollers predicts a growth of 15-20% in Mazda sales in 2018 in Russia.
