Zotye electric cars will be manufactured in Belarus for the Russian market

RBK – 30,000 Zotye electric cars will be manufactured in Belarus until 2022, to be delivered to CIS countries.

Anglo-Belarusian company Unison and Chinese Zotye International Automobile Trading have signed an agreement, proposing the organisation of the production of Zotye electric vehicles in Belarus in Qingdao. 

The contract, in the total sum of $560 million, foresees the organisation of the production of 30,000 Zotye electric cars until 2022, with a high level of localisation. The main part of the production is aimed for CIS countries, including Russia.

According to preliminary data, the compact car Zotye E200, with the look of Smart and the Z500EV sedan are the two aforementioned models. The first model is equipped with a 41-power electric engine with a peak power output of 82 and a set of lithium-ion batteries at 24.5 kw/h. The vehicle travels 220 km at a single charge. The maximum velocity is 120 km/h.

Zotye Z500EV is equipped with a similar electric engine and battery pack, which allows the vehicle to run for 200 km without charging.
