GAZ Group has supplied more than 500 LiAZ buses to Moscow in 2018

RNS – Likinsky Automobile Plant (LiAZ, part of GAZ Group) has supplied 539 LiAZ buses for the renewal of the transport fleet of Moscow’s Mosgortrans in 2018, as stated by the company. LiAZ-5292, LiAZ-4292 and LiAZ 6213 buses are equipped with automatic transmissions, ABS brake systems and YAMZ-530 Euro-5 engines.

The buses with passenger carrying capacities of between 76 and 154 people are equipped with a multiplex system, which automatically monitors the operation of more than 300 parametres and provides complete diagnostics of all systems and assemblies.

Over half of the buses are planned to be serviced within the scope of a life-cycle contract. According to the terms of a life-cycle contract, the manufacturer provides service to the buses and is fully responsible for the technical condition of the vehicles for the duration of their usage. Likinsky plant has been carrying out the maintenance of more than 430 LiAZ buses in Moscow, on the territory of one of the bus parks since 2016.

“We’ll complete the utilisation of the bus fleet. All buses will be contemporary, environmentally-friendly, safe and accessible to the less mobile groups of the population by the end of this year. The condition of our overground transport system has improved and become more comfortable. Moscow bus fleet is currently the youngest in Europe and we will maintain this level” – as told by the Mayor of Moscow: Sergei Sobyanin, who took part in the presentation of LiAZ buses.

As reported previously, LiAZ has supplied 615 Russian buses to the Moscow Region’s state unitary enterprise Mostransavto.
