AVTOTOR has launched the full-cycle production of Hyundai HD65 trucks

RusAutoNews.Com – As reported by the company press office, AVTOTOR car factory has started the serial production of Hyundai HD65 commercial vehicles in full-cycle. HD65 is the second Hyundai model manufactured in a full technological chain, including welding and painting of the body. AVTOTOR has been manufacturing HD78 commercial vehicles in full-cycle since November 2017.

A new welding shop was established and the painting and assembly shops were modernised in the plant for the implementation of the project earlier. An additional painting chamber was created specifically for truck frames, alongside a sprinkler chamber to test the tightness of cabins, during the preparation process for production. A brake stand has been established for testing brake systems, on the other hand. The welding of Hyundai HD65 cabins is carried out on the same line as HD78.

As one may remember, AVTOTOR and the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai have been cooperating since the launch of the production of HD78 trucks in 2011. AVTOTOR started the mass production of Hyundai trucks in September 2012. Hyundai has currently proven itself in the Russian commercial vehicles market with models such as: Hyundai HD65, HD35, HD78, HD120 and HD170, with a wide range of Russian production superstructures. In the LCV segment, the pilot lot of H350 panel vans was released to the market in January 2017.
