KAMAZ Group has optimised the structure of the car component supplier OAT

RusAutoNews.Com – KAMAZ Group, which acquired 49% shares of the car component supplier OAT (United Automobile Components) in February 2018, has optimised the structure of the company, as reported by KAMAZ.

KAMAZ has re-organised the production at OAT, which is based in Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk region.

Dimitrovgrad Tool Factory, Dimitrovgrad Aluminium Casting Plant and Dimitrovgrad Car Component Factory (all affiliates of OAT) have ceased operations in June, due to the re-organisation for merging with DAAZ Stamp. The merger company has been renamed as Dimitrovgrad Automotive Components plant (DAAZ).

Dimitrovgrad enterprises of OAT Group has returned to DAAZ brand name, which operated more than half a century ago.

OAT is the largest car component supplier in Russia. The manufacturing facilities of the group are spread in five regions: Samara, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Ryazan and Vladimir. Over 10,000 people work in 12 production sites.

The revenue of OAT amounted to 18 billion rubles in 2017. The company manufactures more than 4000 types of components.
