Russian truck market has increased by 20% within the first half of 2018

 

Autostat. –  Russian truck market has grown 20.1% within the first six months of 2018 in comparison with the same period of the previous year.  According to Autostat data 37,880 new trucks have been sold in Russia in January-June period.

Kamaz has kept the leadership of the Russian truck market, with 31.7% share in total in six months. The sales figure of the brand is equivalent to 12,012 units, which indicates a 7.3% year-on-year rise. The leader is followed by GAZ, with 3960 vehicles and 12.2% growth year-on-year. The top-three is completed by Volvo with 3239 units: 53.4% growth year-on-year.  Scania has the fourt place in the rankings with 2685 units and 38.2% growth year-on-year. MAN has the fifth place with 2238 units and 47% growth year-on-year.

Kamaz 43118 was the best-selling truck model within the first half of 2018 with 3183 units and +22.9% growth year-on-year, followed by Gazon Next with 2668 units and 20.8% growth year-on-year. The top-three is completed by Volvo FH with 2415 units, which indicates a 52.6% year-on-year rise.

6735 new trucks have been sold in Russia in June 2018: 1.3% growth year-on-year.
