Hyundai met Russian automotive suppliers in Kaluga

RusAutoNewsCom. – Hyundai met Russian automotive suppliers in Kaluga, as reported by the Agency for Regional Development of Kaluga Region. The event “Hyundai Supplier Day” is organized by the Ministry for Economic Development of Kaluga Region in cooperation with the Agency for Regional Development of Kaluga Region, Samara Region automotive cluster and Hyundai.

37 Russian automotive suppliers have attended at the event.

Within the framework of the event, the Hyundai representatives delivered a presentation specifying company’s requirements to suppliers. They also provided a list of automotive components to be manufactured locally. The attendees held one-to-one meetings to discuss the cooperation opportunities in detail.

Andrey Krainov, Director General, Automotive Cluster of Samara Region, said: “I am positive that the Kaluga Region companies will partner with us. Let’s work together and move in one and the same direction”.

The Russian plant of Hyundai (located in St Petersburg) plans to manufacture more than 235,000 vehicles this year, overtaking last year’s production figure of 233,500 units. The factory has manufactured more than 1.6 million automobiles in its 7.5 years production history.
