Russian LCV market has grown 6% within the first nine months of 2018

 

RusAutoNewsCom.  – The Russian LCV market has amounted to 79,528 units within the January-September period of 2018, following an 5.8% year-on-year growth, according to Autostat data.

The traditional leader of the market GAZ has kept its position, with 45.2% market share in total. GAZ has sold 35,958 vehicles within nine months, which is equivalent to a 7.4% year-on-year rise.

UAZ occupies the second place, reaching a sales figure of 11,384 units and 23.9% year-on-year fall.

The top-three is completed by LADA with 7764 units, which indicates a 13.5% year-on-year rise.

Ford came fourth with 7623 units and 51.3% year-on-year growth. Mercedes-Benz has the fifth place in the rankings with 5906 cars and 7.0% year-on-year growth respectively.

Gazelle Next was the best-selling LCV model within the January – September period of 2018 with 20,779 units followed by GAZ 3302: 8013  units and 2.6% year-on-year rise. Ford Transit sales amounted to 7200 units with 49.3% year-on-year growth.

8607 light commercial vehicles have been sold in Russia in September 2018, indicating a 5.3% year-on-year rise.
