Mercedes-Benz Moscovia plant will commence operations at the beginning of the first quarter of 2019

RNS. – Mercedes-Benz Moscovia plant, which will be manufacturing Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Moscow region, will commence operations at the beginning of the first quarter of 2019, as announced by the governor of Moscow region.

The Russian division of Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed the exact timing for the launch of the enterprise.

The construction of the factory started at Esipovo Industrial Park in Moscow region in June 2017.

The total amount of investment in the project has exceeded 15 billion rubles. The annual production capacity of the plant is planned as around 20-25 million automobiles.

Mercedes E-class and GLC, GLE and GLS crossovers will be manufactured in Esipovo.
