Russian bus market has grown by 12% within the first nine months of 2018

Autostat – Russian bus market (excluding LCVs) has amounted to 8,9 thousand vehicles within the January – September period of 2018, following a 11.8% year-on-year rise.

Russian manufacturer PAZ has become the leader of the market, with 60% share of the total volume. Almost 5129 PAZ buses have been sold, indicating 3% year-on-year growth.

All the top-3 most popular buses in the Russian new bus market is formed of domestic brands. LiAZ occupies the second spot with 1234 units (+10% y/y) and NEFAZ comes third with 520 units (-17.3%). The top-5 is completed by Belarusian MAZ with 439 units (+45%) and Chinese Yutong with 416 units.

The small-class, high-floor PAZ-3205 has become the best-sold model in the Russian bus market, with a sales figure of 2674 units (+10%). Second and third places are also occupied by products of Pavlovsk Car Factory: small-class PAZ-3204 (1583, +7%) and small-class PAZ-4234 (603, +1%). Nefaz-5299 with 520 units (+42%) and LiAZ-5250 (Voyage) complete the top-five with 417 units.
