Car production in Russia up by 17% within the January-September period

 

RusAutoNewsCom. – Car production in Russia has increased by 16.5% year-on-year within the first nine months of 2018. According to ASM Holding data, 1,270,824 units vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-September period of 2018.

Passenger cars production has increased by 16.5% year-on-year during the aforementioned period, with 1.132 million units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 15.8% to 843.1 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 9.1% to 88.7 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 2.3% within January-September period of 2018, amounting to 109.2 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up by 21.6% to 21.2 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 1.6% during the aforementioned period, with 29.7 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went down by 12.2% to 6.4 thousand units.

As reported previously, the Russian government expects 13% growth in car production in Russia by the end of 2018.
