The average car price has risen to 1.4 million rubles in Russia

 

Autostat. – The weighted average car price in Russia has been calculated as 1.42 million rubles (approximately $21,400) by the end of the first 10 months of 2018, which is equivalent to a 7% increase. The average price amounts to 1.64 million rubles for foreign brands and 623,000 rubles for Russian vehicles.

The weighted average price of Geely has risen the most amongst the Top-35 bestseller brands, with 43.2% by the end of the above mentioned period. French Peugeot (+29.2%) and Japanese Infiniti (+21.3%) follow the Chinese brand in the ratings. The weighted average prices of another five brands have increased in the range of 10-17%: Skoda, Lifan, Volvo, KIA and Ford. The indicator remained below the 10% mark for 21 brands.

Six manufacturers have recorded a decrease in weighted average price of new vehicles at the end of the January-October 2018 period, on the other hand. Zotye (-9.6%), British Jaguar (-3%) are amongst those brands, alongside Japanese Subaru (-1.2%) and Honda (-1.1%).
