Russian new electric car market has increased by 52% in 2018



Autostat.- The new electric car market in Russia has amounted to 144 units in 2018, indicating a 51.6% year-on-year increase, up from 95 units in 2017.

Nissan Leaf has became the new leader of the market with 76 units sold. The leader is followed by Tesla, which is represented by two models: Tesla X with 40 units and Tesla S with 12 units sold.

The new electric car in the market Jaguar I-Pace occupied the third place in the rankings, with 8 units sold within 10 days. As reported earlier, the sales of Jaguar I-Pace has started on 20 December in Russia.

In addition, 7 new Renault Twizy and 1 Tesla Model-3 were purchased in Russia in 2018.

58 new electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region in 2018. The capital is followed by Primorsky Krai – 24 units; St Petersburg – 10 units; Krasnodar – 5 units; Khabarovsk – 4 units.
