Production has increased by 21% at Volvo Trucks factory in Russia in 2018


 

Autostat.- Volvo Trucks factory in Kaluga has manufactured a total number of 5637 Volvo FM, Volvo FMX and Volvo FH model trucks in 2018. The production figure is equivalent to a 20.8% increase, in comparison with 4665 trucks manufactured in 2017.

In addition, 7483 cabins have been manufactured at welding and painting shops last year, 1846 of which were exported to another European plant of Volvo Group in Gent in Belgium, as stated by the press office of Volvo Trucks Russia. An export division has been established in Kaluga plant for ready-made cabins in 2018, which indicates the sustainable development of the plant and the recognition of achievements in the field of finished product quality.

As one may remember, the opening of Kaluga factory of Volvo Group took place on 19 January 2009. A total number of 31,727 vehicles have rolled off the conveyors of the enterprise since its opening.
