The construction of Hino Motors plant has begun in Moscow Region


 

Autostat.- Japanese Hino Motors company has started the construction of a truck production plant in Khimki, Moscow Region on 24 April. The construction of the facility is planned to be completed by the end of 2019, as stated by the press office of the governor and the administration of Moscow Region.

The factory will be established on 5.3 hectares of land. The area of the plant and the surrounding buildings will be around 12,000 m2. The investment amount in the project is estimated as $17 million.

The first automobiles will roll off the conveyors in May next year. Four versions of medium and light-duty trucks will be assembled in the high-tech enterprise: 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes Hino 300 and 12 and 18 tonnes Hino 500.

As stated previously, the annual production capacity of the Hino Motors plant will be approximately 2000 vehicles. The trucks, which will be manufactured at the new plant in Khimki, will not only be designed for the Russian market, but also be exported to neighbouring countries.

As one may remember, the agreement on the investment project was signed between the Moscow regional administration and Hino Motors in October 2017.
