Russian luxury car market has declined by 11% within the first 8 months

RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by Autostat, the luxury car market in Russia amounted to 867 vehicles within the first 8 months of 2019, indicating 10.7% year-on-year decrease.

Mercedes-Benz has remained the leader of the market with more than 36% market share. The brand is represented by one model only: 310 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class have been sold in January-August period of 2019.

Bentley comes second in the rankings, with a sales figure of 223 vehicles. Rolls-Royce completes the top-three in the luxury segment with 115 units. 105 Lamborghini, 83 Maserati, 23 Ferrari and 8 Aston Martin vehicles have hit the Russian roads within the first eight months of 2019, on the other hand.

Around 2/3 of the luxury automobiles have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region during the aforementioned period (556 units). The capital is followed by St Petersburg – 84 units, Krasnodar Krai – 37 vehicles and Sverdlovsk – 21 units.
