The US Treasury has extended the completion period of transactions with GAZ


 

RNS.- The US Treasury has re-extended the completion period of transactions with GAZ Group until 31 March 2020. The relevant statement has been made by the US Traesury Office of Foreign Assets Control.

The extension period until 31 March 2020 also applies to American investors, who are willing to exit the group’s securities.

The US Treasury has brought sanctions against 24 Russian individuals and 14 legal entities as of 6 April 2018. In particular, businessman Oleg Deripaska and companies belonging to him: En+ Group, GAZ Group, Base Element and UC Rusal are included in the list.

The US Treasury has notified the US Congress of its intention to lift the restrictive measures imposed on the companies belonging to the Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska: En + Group, UC Rusal and Eurosibenergo, in December 2018. The sanctions on the companies have been lifted on the night of January 27-28, 2019. The sanctions against Oleg Deripaska remain in force, on the other hand.

The US Treasury has extended the period for American investors to exit GAZ Group securities and the deadline for the completion of transactions with the group until 8 November 2019, on 26 July 2019.
