KAMAZ has launched a new assembly line in Uzbekistan

RusAutoNewsCom.- Kamaz has officially launched a new chassis assembly line for Kamaz vehicles in Samarkand, in cooperation with UzAutoTrailer.

The new assembly line has been established in the new production building, on a total area of 7400 m2. The line is installed with modern technological and auxiliary equipment, ensuring the production of over 300 trucks per year. An assembly and installation section has also been organised in the building for gas equipment on Kamaz chassis.

The organisation of the new assembly line has made it possible to go to a deeper degree in the production technology of Kamaz chassis, using localised batteries, fuels and lubricants, gas cylinders and other components manufactured in Russia.

As one may remember, large-scale production of Kamaz vehicles has started at the facilities of UzAutoTrailer in November 2017, with a set of superstructures and semi-trailers manufactured by the Uzbek partner. The presentation of Uzbek-made Kamaz trucks took place in March 2018. The company started the sales of Kamaz trucks after a few months and the production volume of finished vehicles on Kamaz chassis has exceeded 1800 units over the past period. There are over 18 vehicles in the current model range of Kamaz trucks manufactured in the plant, with loading capacities from 10 to 36 tonnes.
