ROAD predicts a shrinkage of up to 8% in the Russian new car market in 2020

Autostat.- According to the forecast of the Association of Russian Automobile Dealers – ROAD, the shrinkage in the new car market may reach 8% in Russia in 2020. The used car sales, on the other hand, is likely to remain in the previous year’s figures (5.4 million vehicles), as stated by the press office of ROAD.

The 3% increase in the share of dealers in the secondhand market indicates that the upward trend has been maintained in this market in 2019. The average number of cars sold in dealer centres has also risen to 792 units, thanks to secondhand cars mainly, following the increase in the sales of used cars per dealer centre from 227 units in 2018 to 272 in 2019.
