Putin has proposed an extension to the preferential car loan programmes

TASS.- The Russian president Vladimir Putin has proposed the allocation of an additional amount of 15.5 billion rubles on the preferential car loan programmes for the purchases of domestically manufactured vehicles on Friday, along with the preferential leasing programme, which includes car-sharing companies.

“It’s necessary to support the widespread client demand on automotive products” – Putin said during the meeting on the development of the car industry in times of the pandemic. The president has reminded the existence of the preferential car loan programmes; such as Family Car and First Car, which give the young or large families the opportunity to buy Russian made vehicles with a 10% advance payment discount.

“I propose the allocation of an additional amount of 7 billion rubles for the funding of such programmes this year, as well as increasing the availability of them for our citizens” – said the president of the Russian Federation. Putin has stated that the additional subsidy will improve the demand for the products of the Russian factories. “In general, within the framework of the relevant measures, we will concentrate on the support of companies, which localise or at least increase the localisation rates of their production, creating high-quality and contemporary workplaces in Russia” – Putin added.
