Vehicle production in Russia has decreased by 15% within the first quarter


 

RusAutoNewsCom.- Vehicle production in Russia has been decreased within the first quarter of 2020. According to ASM Holding data 356,842 units transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured within the January-March period of 2020, which is equivalent to a 14.8% year-on-year fall.

Passenger cars production has decreased by 15.6% year-on-year during the aforementioned period, to 323.0 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia went down by 14.5% to 236.4 thousand vehicles.

Light commercial vehicle production has also declined in the same period, by 15.2% to 19.3 thousand units.

Trucks output, including light trucks, has fallen by 8.1% by the end of the first quarter of 2020, amounting to 27 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia has grown by 6.4% to 5.9 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 1.8% during the aforementioned period, to 7 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up by 18.2% to 1.3 thousand units.
