Toyota Motor has started the exports of Russian made automobiles to Armenia

RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by Toyota Motor press office, the latest destination Armenia has become the third export market for the company, where the company will supply Camry and RAV4 models, manufactured in St Petersburg factory.

The company has been exporting Russian assembly Toyota cars to Belarus since 2010 and to Kazakhstan since 2012. 8863 Camry and RAV4 have been exported to the aforementioned countries in 2019, which is equivalent to approximately 12% of the total number of manufactured vehicles. Export growth is one of the priorities for the company.

Toyota Motor’s initial export plan to Armenia consists of approximately 450 Camry and RAV4 vehicles until the end of 2020. The export amount is planned to be increased in the future. The models were previously being imported to the country from Japan. The change in the manufacturer country has led to a reduction in the prices in the Armenian market by 10%. In addition, a wider selection of trim levels, adopted for the conditions in Russia and the CIS countries has become available for the clients, including special series of models.

Toyota Motor will become the official distributor of the brand in Armenia as well, along with Russia and Belarus. The relevant decision will enable the expansion of the model range for the local clientele. Apart from the Russian assembly models, the upgraded versions of Corolla and C-HR coupe-crossover, the full-size Highlander crossover, the legendary Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser SUVs and Fortuner-1 models will be available in Armenia, alongside Alphard.

The sales of the automobiles to private and corporate customers will be made through the official dealer centres: Toyota Yerevan and Lexus Yerevan in Armenia.
